Beautiful antique Chinese wood rice container with handle. One small chip (pictured) as expected for age and original use. Metal work is very well done. Note the intricate dovetailing and precise finish work. These vintage wood rice containers were used to measure and carry harvested rice from the paddy to village kitchens. No two are alike. A really great decor piece!
